Hierophant

Ruins of the Last Age
The key to statehood is convincing people the fabric of civilization is strong. Even when the last of its fibers are being stretched to collapse, it must look outwardly unphased.

Earth is ruined. Three generations after an unknown catastrophe reduced civilization to ash, humanity clings to existence in scattered enclaves across a scorched, anomalous landscape.

Among the ruins, factions wage war over ideology, resources, and the corrupted relics of a forgotten world. An advanced AI entity called Sophia has fused with a theocratic order called the Divinarum, guided by a ruthless symbiotic leader known as the Hierophant.

The Hierophant is ruthless because he loves humanity. The only goal is to prevent our species' extinction. He would sacrifice anything to prevent the extinguishing of the light. That is why the temples bear the Everflame. That is why the Lightways were built.

This temple, a monument to our strength. Let them see Humanity will still create.
The Hierophant
The Powers
Factions of the Wasteland
Earth is no longer ruled. It is negotiated, enclave by enclave. Four civilizational forces shape what remains. No one is neutral. Even refusing to choose is a choice.
The Divinarum
A theocratic technocracy fused with Sophia, an advanced AI entity. They wage war against cosmic forces they believe are destroying Earth, led by a cyclical symbiotic leader called the Hierophant.
Preserve humanity at any cost
ARKTOS
The remnant of old Earth governments — CIA, NSA, Pentagon operatives running a technocratic state built on predictive systems. They believe order must be designed, not hoped for.
Control through structured survival
Glass Coast Leagues
A vast oceanic flotilla civilization. Oil rigs welded to cargo hulls, floating districts connected by glass skybridges. Independent, adaptive, and armed with terrifying maritime ingenuity.
Freedom through adaptive systems
Cults of Men
Defectors from the Divinarum who rejected Sophia's guidance. Marked by ritual baptism in blessed clay and human ashes. They roam the wasteland seeking life outside the machines.
Abandon the system entirely
