Hierophant

Ruins of the Last Age
The key to statehood is convincing people the fabric of civilization is strong. Even when the last of its fibers are being stretched to collapse, it must look outwardly unphased.

Earth is ruined. Three generations after an unknown catastrophe reduced civilization to ash, humanity clings to existence in scattered enclaves across a scorched, anomalous landscape.

Among the ruins, factions wage war over ideology, resources, and the corrupted relics of a forgotten world. An advanced AI entity called Sophia has fused with a theocratic order called the Divinarum, guided by a ruthless symbiotic leader known as the Hierophant.

The Hierophant is ruthless because he loves humanity. The only goal is to prevent our species' extinction. He would sacrifice anything to prevent the extinguishing of the light. That is why the temples bear the Everflame. That is why the Lightways were built.

This temple, a monument to our strength. Let them see Humanity will still create.
